Forum Post: Support Bradley Manning November 27th

It should come as no surprise that the Justice Party supports Bradley Manning and protections for whistle-blowers. Remembering the great service Daniel Ellsberg performed for this country when he blew the whistle on the U.S. military during the Vietnam War with the release of the Pentagon Papers, we are deeply disturbed by the government's treatment of Manning for similarly exposing the truth--including crimes committed by those acting on behalf of the United States.

Manning's arrest, pre-trial incarceration, inhumane treatment, and vengeful prosecution are symptoms of a government operating in the shadowy recesses of paranoid delusion. Rather than being accountable for its actions, our government has chosen to shoot the messenger. We demand justice for Bradley Manning and encourage you to show your support for his fair treatment.

Only a public outpouring of support and a demand for Manning's fair treatment can counter a government intent on making an example of him to any other whistle-blowers, with courage enough to point out wrongdoing by our government. Manning's court martial is just weeks away--the time to take action is now!
