It means they couldn't agree on slashing that part of government that actually serves the people, even if not perfectly. Stuff like education, social security. I think the fact that they can't agree even to the trillion or so in cuts, let alone the 4 trillion that Obama and Bloomberg say they want, shows fear. Fear of OW and the sentiment that OW reflects.

That's possible. I personally feel they are just so greedy that they will wait and hold out in a false show of bluffing power and leverage until the very last moment like they did with the debt ceiling. Because even though they're all in it together, we can't underestimate their greed for even the slightest increase of power. So neither side will budge out of bipartisan stubbornness.

they wait till the last minute everytime because they think Americans will say wow they save us and the we can see the cast of rejects come on and say see we can work together and come to an agreement love us you leaders the reps and dems we are here for you and many sheep will buy into it

... I didn't think of it that way, but yeah, it makes a lot of sense. This implies that the entire committee were willing to think twice before potentially doing something that would cause discontent with protestors... Did "our" politicians actually consider our feelings? If so...interesting. :)

They don't consider our feelings, but they do consider consequences.

Communist Party, Socialist Party, moveon.org and many other totalitarian solution groups who came out in support of OWS are ALL endorsing Obama for the next election. Think about it. Obama, who bailed out the banks!!!!!Whose financial adviser is Ben Bernanke, the boss of the Federal Reserve. Who has reinforced and strengthened the Patriot\t Act... All wings of the same bird my friends, flying in the same direction...Impeach Obama! restore the Constitution!

Correction: Bush (George W) bailed out the banks. Obama bailed out the auto industry. Interestingly enough, Bush senior bailed out banks during his reign too. Like father like son. Also interesting, the auto industry is already benefiting the economy whereas banks are still causing problems.

One more thing...I don't understand your last statement "...restore the constitution". You want to impeach a democratically elected president (but probably supported George W when he stole the election from Gore) and, I'm assuming, you probably want a Republican in office to replace Obama. Note that the constitution defines a democratic republic. The Republicans, on the other hand, seem to be trying to establish a corporatocracy or oligarchy, which is exactly what our founding fathers were trying to get away from when they wrote the constitution. I think, instead of saying "restore the constitution", you should've said "rewrite the constitution".
