They have collaborated to hide global climate science from you. The effects may be irreversible! Anybody know any good layers?

I think they should get the crap sued out of them.

Ditto.

I heard chickens are good layers.

[-] 1 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

I prefer the layers in chicken tamale pie when it's done right.

The ozone layer is a good one. Though I believe that it is on the endangered layer list. Don't forget the sunblock or glasses when venturing out.

Venus resembles the Earth in many ways, yet the most basic questions

about the evolution of the planet and its atmosphere are still a mystery.

The objective of the Venus Entry Probe TRS is to study the Venusian atmosphere.

The main unresolved questions on the atmosphere of Venus are:

The origin and historic evolution of the atmosphere of the planet

The physical and chemical composition of the lower atmosphere

The detailed composition and chemistry of particles that make up the cloud layers

The atmospheric dynamics (super-rotation, meridional circulation, variations in cloud layers)

Easy to figure out how your bread is buttered.

Barack Obama might be a good choice, or perhaps Eric holder. But I think you meant lawyer, not layer, right?

[-] 1 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

I'm almost certain I'm not the first person to have misspelled a word.

Sorry to kid you.

But in it's way I thought it was fitting anyhow.

Enough with the kidding already. I'm calling my layer!

[-] 0 points by Kirby (104) 13 years ago

No, you are not. I've messed a few up myself. Just checking context, down want to be presumptuous.

[-] 1 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

Maybe it was a Freudian slip? Too many green m&m's.

[-] 0 points by Kirby (104) 13 years ago

Hahaha. I'm going to bed having been humored. You made me laugh hit girl. Thank you!

[-] 1 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

A sense of humor is important. Not quite the same as humoring someone. But I'm glad I could humor you just the same.

IQ check. That sounds like a conspiracy theory, Koch brothers hide global climate science from you!!!. Oh my god, let's get them. All we hear from you liberals is Climate change this climate change that in the press everyday. What exactly are they hiding? Are you afraid of anyone challenging the left wing Gore Climate change theories?

[-] 1 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

No, I'm afraid of the rich oil billionaires challenging dedicated scientists using the kind of coercion, misinformation and propaganda that only incredibly wealthy people can unleash on honest citizens. Also, I think you're mistaken. I think it's climate scientists your hearing from everyday.

[-] 0 points by pedro01 (1) 13 years ago

oh now its the rich oil billionaires. There is a lot of money on your side, did you ever think where it comes from? Radical left wing environmentalist? Soros? Rich foundations?

[-] 0 points by Kirby (104) 13 years ago

Perhaps their will be a breakthrough in technology soon, on the level of the manhattan project, and energy will be cheap, and absolutely clean. I don't know if it would change the climate trends though. We'll see.

[-] 1 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

That's optimistic, but i can't help but think that those invested in the status quo would use their money and influence to fight any change to the extent of their ample resources. Isn't that what's going on now?

I have an onion with many layers...but i think you meant lawyers. :?

[-] 1 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

And my dad part of the legal system...Shame on me!

[-] 0 points by Spade2 (478) 13 years ago

You can't sue someone for denying science, that's illegal and immoral.

[-] 0 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

OK, lets say I don't believe in the science of physics. Now, your car is downhill from my shopping cart. I take my hands off my shopping cart. It rolls down the hill and into your car, but I don't believe in the science of physics so it really isn't my fault and, according to you, it would be illegal and immoral to sue me. Right?

[-] 0 points by Spade2 (478) 13 years ago

That's different, you know that the cart will role down, whether it be physics or god that brings it down so I could sue you, but the Kochs are doing nothing illegal. They may be denying science but they are not forcing you to believe them.

[-] 0 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

It's not different.

[-] 2 points by Spade2 (478) 13 years ago

Yes it is, it is common sense that something pulls that cart down. Global warming is NOT common sense, It is abstract science.

[-] 0 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

Tell it to the cigarette companies. They're fond of denying science too.

[-] 1 points by Spade2 (478) 13 years ago

That's not common sense either but it is more direct

[-] 0 points by HitGirl (2263) 13 years ago

Well, in all fairness, the cigarette companies were actually manipulating the amount of nicotine in their product to keep people hooked while they testified that it was non-addictive. Still, I don't think it is immoral to sue somebody for what amounts to spreading propaganda that causes lasting harm. A lot of court cases are based on scientific evidence that only expert witnesses can interpret.

[-] 2 points by Spade2 (478) 13 years ago

It's futile as well, there are better ways to combat global warming than the a lawsuit you'll never win.
