Forum Post: Student in Support

I'm a current college student who attended the first day of protests in NY on September 17. I just want to say that I deeply admire the continued effort and perseverance of those who choose to occupy, day in and day out, despite increasing police crackdowns and unwarranted violence. I plan on returning in the near future, but until then I will try to provide financial support through donations.

I think one reason why this movement continues as well as it does in so many different locations is because of the online solidarity in the broader community of occupiers. For that reason, I think messages like this one are important to let those physically present in the countless protest locations across the US (and the world) know that they are not alone. So to anyone reading this who might be out there: you are not alone. Far from it. You are part of something enormous and you are of enormous importance.
