Forum Post: Storefronts vandalized in Oakland during General Strike

It was our march, we paid none of the permit fees that normally goto the police for public safety. In fact, we got the mayor to pull many of the cops off the street, especially for a demonstration this size.

It went off fairly peacefully, but some private property(storefronts, etc) did get damaged by people in our march. It seems like the least we could do is pay for the damages. It would do wonders for our reputation.

Someone had some proof that an oakland cop was posing as a protester, so we could just blame it on them..

Maybe some people got too excited. Occupy Oakland should pay for property damages in the march in good faith.

And pier one with their shitty imported woven place mats with coloring that runs all over you tablecloth if your kid spills any apple juice. Break their fukin heads!
