Forum Post: Stop wasting time with the banks. Fight the government,

Sitting around pooping on police cars, and nagging the banks who didn't cause this mess is doing nothing. If you want to fix the system, fight the law makers. I'm sure a lot more would happen if one million people blocked access to Congressional buildings. People need to actually exhibit the same bravery our founding fathers showed, not sit around obeying curfew ordinances. If Americans can enlist and risk their lives for a foreign country, why can't we get that same resolve here where it's really needed?

The fish rots at the head! put the influence of money to work in our favor - it's actionable to close your BofA account and Merrill Lynch account. The corporate-citizen manipulates the government's approach. Do you think Americans wanted to go to war for oil? Only the ones without conscience and a profit-motive.

Agreed! Leave the banks. Close your accounts. Go to a credit union. Atleast they have some sort of regulation. The banks do not. They just nickle and dime a consumer to death!

The banks own the government. Why ignore the masters and waste time with the slaves?

You can only stop it through the government. Banks legally use all their money to lobby the government. The government is who should be protested because they are the only ones that can change the rules. It is silly to blame the banks for trying to make as much money as they can. Literally every business from hot dog venders to multinational oil companies try to make as much money as they legally can.

I didn't see this as an either/or choice.

I agree. If your kid stole from your wallet every day so that your other kids couldn't eat, and you're the parent who watches him do it, and smiles, and then the next day hands over your wallet to the thief, your other children need to beat you.
