There are some necessary prescription drugs out there to keep people healthy, but come on people! Use some discretion! Hasn't it been proven that some stop smoking drugs make people want to kill themselves? Buck up and quit smoking or risk getting lung cancer, simple answer. Isn't one of the most common listed side-effects of MOST anti-depressants: thoughts of suicide? Isn't one of the symptoms of depression: thoughts of suicide? Drink some tea, do some yoga, chase your dream, chances are there is something out there that can make you happy that doesn't come in pill form.

Doctors are just as guilty of prescription drug abuse as drug addicts are. Have you seen the amount of precribed pain killers that the docs scribble scripts for? You got a shaky leg? Wear heavier shoes. Stop making the drug companies rich and start solving some of your "health problems" with good old common sense and the drug companies won't be reporting record profits anymore.

Aspirin, peroxide, alcohol, salt water, baking soda & corn starch.

These will cure a variety of ills and have household uses aas well.

A must for every kitchen & medicine cabinet, you can stock up for ten dollars or less.

Avoid Rx & expensive branded OTC health & cleaning products.

Of course, they won't cure cancer or some other serious illnesses, but for everyday needs you'll have stuff that works at a low price.

Corporate greed.....ringing a bell? Maybe if people would stop buying things from corporations that people (many from occupy) say are the 1%, they would cease to be the 1%?

No. Who are you to tell people to stop taking antidepressants? Shaky leg? You mean restless leg syndrome? you obviously have never had it. Try not sleeping for nights in a row.

I did, when I had a knee the size of a cantalope and an ankle the size of a softball due to rheumatoid arthritis.I did it without pain killers or any prescription drugs of any kind for 6 months. Then I went and had a biopsy surgery and went back to work 4 days later.

Congratulations. I don't need surgery. I do need to sleep. People make their own choices for what works for them. Restless leg syndrome is not understood by anyone that has not suffered through it.

Have you looked into other forms of treatment for your condition, or did you just go to the doctor and wait patiently for him to get done scribbling on his pad? From: http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/restless_legs/detail_restless_legs.htm

Certain lifestyle changes and activities that may reduce symptoms in persons with mild to moderate symptoms include decreased use of caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco; supplements to correct deficiencies in iron, folate, and magnesium; changing or maintaining a regular sleep pattern; a program of moderate exercise; and massaging the legs, taking a hot bath, or using a heating pad or ice pack. A trial of iron supplements is recommended only for individuals with low iron levels. Although many people find some relief with such measures, rarely do these efforts completely eliminate symptoms.

Medications are usually helpful but no single medication effectively manages RLS for all individuals. Trials of different drugs may be necessary. In addition, medications taken regularly may lose their effect over time, making it necessary to change medications periodically.

I read all of this page. I understand perfectly.
