DO NOT LET THIS PASS!!! This was not very well thought out and has problems from the start "1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.". Before you sign stop and think for just one second. If an elected official has nothing to fall back on if he/she were to be voted out of office what makes you think they will not be more willing to take up some bribes for their own security?... Do you think a congressman would rather bust his/her ass trying to please us, cross his/her fingers, and hope that they've done a good enough job to keep their position? I think not. They'll be more willing to take up a brube for their own security.
You sir, are clueless.
Then you obviously do not understand that our elected servant are there to vote as the people desire.......... This is better than the poke in the eye with the feces covered sharp end of the stick we've been getting. And just because people sign it and it gets "reviewed" does not remotely mean it will become law.

passive refusal to gain access is foolish

So whatcha gonna do? Peaceful marching is nice and all, but, I'm all ears and ready to hear how you think millions of willful and stubborn people, who cannot even carry out a decent tax revolt, can be organized to bring about effective changes.
I agree the system is FUBAR.
Yup, I can agree with this. Particularly, no pension. The non-unionized private sector has moved away from fixed benefit pension plans and have replaced them with market based 401k plans (tax deferred savings plan). Why should congress have it any better.
Huh... they already do afaik?
Huh... if you mean contribute to a tax deferred personal IRA, they already can afaik?
Yup, I can agree with this.
Most people get medical insurance via an employer sponsored plan. I'm not sure how it works for the self-employed since I'm not, but I think its more costly because the CIGNAs and BlueShields of the world charge higher premiums if you come to them as an individual. Forcing congressman to go thru process of shopping for a reasonable individual plan or negotiating a group plan without it being put on a plate for them would be educational for them.
sign it.... need 5000 signatures by the 22nd just to have this CONSIDERED FOR REVIEW. This is a long way from becoming law or an amendment.
What about term limits??
You eat the elephant in small bites, this is ONLY a petition for review. A notice to the Whitehouse and Congress, so to speak. Sign it, don't be too smart for your own good.
Buy Made in USA and support jobs in the USA
This is nice, but there are much bigger issues afoot.
Then don't sign it. Of course you can eat an elephant in one bite. You go SpittingHeart!
I signed it. Just saying that it's a symptom, not a cause.
Without a doubt, but to refuse any and all access to the lawmaking process, in this case, is to passively continue to condone the antics of our unaccountable representatives.
