In a society, it's expectable statistically speaking that some will succeed better and that some, for temporary or fundamental reasons, will be losers. A modern society ought to act responsibly toward those in difficulty, such as the homeless, rather than desert them on one side and repress them on the other.
Statistical losers are to be taken care of, not selectively kicked out of society à la Bloomberg.
Some Western European countries as Sweden understand this much better than the U.S. and Canada.
That's exactly why Bloomberg is showing such compassion for the people in Zuccotti Park.
