"Zuccotti park was a zoning set-aside that the City and the developer negotiated many years ago so that the developer could build a nearby building taller than zoning code permitted via the dedication of a public park. The City made the developer own it so save money on maintenance."
Thus, owner of Zuccotti has no intent to USE the park.

I thought this was a protest not squatting?
whatever legal justification is needed to prevent eviction.
machiavelli.
fight deception with deception, i guess? not the most constructive plan ever conceived. the results of your plan are clear.
fight fire with firewood.
yeah, it's shocking that more people dont take the protesters seriously... could be due to stupid shit like this. just sayin.
You want a constructive plan?
Here you go. Here are TWO:

many millions of people have this, and did the work to get it. want 40k? there are thousands of jobs currently available. might have to shave and go to work on time, but they're there for the taking. want free credit? pay for something with cash. free cash? cant help you there.
but a convoluted plan to once again sleep in the park... well, im sure your gifts are better focused on something else.
Adverse possession aka squatters rights refer to obtaining legal title of the property. You're just camping there.
two stages.
cannot evict without intent to use the property
obtain legal title and designate it an urban campground under non profit status
Ah, NYC has funky rules on POPS. I assume that was the reasoning behind holding the protest there. You'll never obtain a legal title through adverse possession though, that's just crazy.
