On October 17th Harry Belafonte was on the Colbert Report. He was there to talk about protest movements, the civil rights act and his new book outlining his work with JFK and Dr. King among others.
In the interview Colbert jokingly stated that "those guys (OWS) are clowns compared to you guys (civil rights movement) right?"
Mr. Belafonte said that "the last laugh may be on those that view them as clowns"
Mr. Belafonte went on to say that "your always gonna have the detractors that say don't rock the boat, don't mess with the status quo"
And he's right there will always be those that are gonna work against us. But we can't let that stand in our way.
