The recent call to move deposits from the too big to fail banks that are ripping us off to local banks and credit unions is a great start. Now lets pledge to buy only American made food, goods and services until we have full employment, and insist on accurate labeling as the to source of the labor and content of the products on our shelves. This is something WE can do without government action each time we go into a store.
Now I finally agree with something written on the forums, I will support this 100%!!
I was about to buy some frozen salmon when i saw it was a chinese product. Opted to pay a buck extra for the one from alaska. It getting too expensive to eat healthy food, though. Im trying to feed two people on $60 a week, and i usually fail to stay in my budget. The salmon is only slightly more expensive than hamburger, believe it or not.
Salmon runs are in late August on the west side of Michigan. Much better than frozen! Except the coal ash the was dumped into our national treasure may hinder the fishing industry and many others.
No salmon here, but i am going to start fishing to reduce food bill. Been researching the local fish that are low in environmental pollutants and where to go to catch them, best baits, etc. My dad has a rod he will give me.
Stay away from bottom feeders like carp and catfish...they are some of the worst. It all depends on where you live too. My favs are bass and walleye. Yumm-O!
Our bass are actually one of the more hazardous fish as far as environmental toxins, cant recall which one, though... Worse than our catfish, in fact...
What state and which part of that state do you reside? I can give you a short list of the species and best dates to fish them.
I'll take fishing tips for Michigan's lower peninsula ;)
Thanks so much for your offer to help, but the state and local fishing sites have excellent info, and i think we are going off topic... ; )
Np!
buy used.
I would gladly choose American products if I could find them. Do you have a trusted (non-profit) resource? Ideas are good but resources help action.

You are right on. Start here and after we succeed then, and only then, spread our influence. For now just show support to all Spring and all OWS all over the world. Its just people speaking for a change.
But I thought big US Corporations were bad. Why do we want to help them now?
You're a tool...our cause is against corruption in US Corporations.
