Sever the chords that bind wall street to capitol Hill. End corporate campaign contributions. Restrict lobbyists access to congress.
two simple things everyone in occupy wall street can stand behind. So unite under this front, use it as your platform, become a serious and organized movement.
Yes! Seems like the most glaring problem...
So tell people to stand firmly behind it as everyone's goal.
Yes, but how?
If everyone stands united behind a front of ending corporate campaign contributions, and restricting the lobbyists access to congress, then their movement will gain more legitimacy because it now has a primary purpose. People will look at occupy wall street and they'll think: OK so they want to end favors and lobbying and corporate contributions, well that makes sense.
It stands to unite people under one cause. When that happens their voices are magnified, elections topics change, officials are forced to address the issues or grievances of the american people and ultimately there will be those running on the platform of severing the chords that bind capitol hill to wall street. They will in turn introduce bills to that effect, if all the citizens are behind it the bill will be passed and then there you have it. The people will regain their voices over the corporations, and they will have more say in the policies then those very corporations.
