Forum Post: some things every American can do

Here are some things every American can do to help create the kind of country OWSers envision:

1) Purchase/Consume less. When you do purchase/consume…

2) Support local/small businesses

3) Support companies/corporations that support your community or the ideals you agree with (rare, but they exist)

4) Persuade those around you to 1-4.

There are two ways to vote in this country: a) in the ballot box and b) in the marketplace. How you use your money is just as important as who you vote into office.

To all those in the streets, take action!

That is how capitalism is supposed to work. But it's frustrating when you do vote with your wallet and the government ends up bailing out the companies that continue to fail the consumer. The system is broken to the core. We are f*cking screwed.
