Good point. Any design modifications are welcome. Maybe a reverse ramp- like structure elevating entrances.. Units could be arranges in a star shape around communal heat source.

Any winter shelter needs the entrance to be elevated to prevent becoming a cold sink. Observe this when you open a freezer and the cold air pours out the bottom like a liquid. Same thing occurs with entrances to structures when the outside is cold. Interior should also be elevated, as cold air sinks.

Everyone could choose their own logo to appropriate

The first shelter has a big target on it. This will be helpful if cops need to invade via an air attack. I'm imagining Apache helicopters dropping rubber bombs.

The second shelter can double as a coffin in case the protesters freeze to death.

If you are bringing more items in that take up more space, how can it be less?

I agree. Space is important as both the ideological and pragmatic issue. Any ideas?
