Those are phrases used to describe politics. Things are getting uglier. I'm finally coming to face the reality that voting only feeds into the illusion the system creates that different candidates really make a difference. The truth is, voting for the lesser of two evils only moves us towards the next election with two worse evils.

I can't find that the us has any voter turn out requirement. I could of sworn we did so maybe someone knows it but I did find some interesting ideas of people online who think foreigners should vote in our elections. That would cause s shake up. Maybe iraqis should get to vote. Hehe.
Mandatory voting is the law in some countries, Australia & Brazil, for example. I'd hate to see them implement that here, though it would give us a great way to do some civil disobedience on election day.
I think I'm voting for the sun king this year.
A Brazilian once told me that they sometimes write in the names of the monkeys at the zoo over there. Maybe you could write in Bonzo with Reagan as his VP. :-)
No I'm set. Mariette antienne is my vp
I've had similar thoughts-- posted this yesterday to no response: http://occupywallst.org/forum/a-two-party-selection-how-do-you-feel-about-voting/
