I think if we are to truly make a difference this should be a world wide movement. In the end even if everyone in the US would join, the money makers would not care - they will still make money.
If the world speaks up, then perhaps things could be avoided in the future. If you think this is a US problem only wait until the EU has a few countries that go bankrupt. This will not only hurt the US but together with the corruption of the banks could send the world into a recession.
Sorry I incorrectly stated the intention of this post. I would like to see an organized movement. There are many groups doing this of course, however I have not seen anything worth nothing in Germany.
Organization will be a key to such a movement, just random groups of people in various countries will not move any politician to do anything.
It is a world wide movement, see occupytogether
lol it is a worldwide movement get with the program. 52 cities in the U.S. or more plus entire countries in south american and overseas. Greece had to be shut down, yes all of it, because people protesting these very same issues. have you seen the news the past few years there has been protests and demonstrations everywhere in the world. what do you think these people are flooding streets and rioting for? for this. America is just the least affected country in the world so we are the last to get on board. this is worldwide trust and believe that my friend
Disenfanchisment IS a worldwide sentiment, it's only lately being expressed in a western context.
