The OWS movement is mainly a protest against the staggering income inequality in America and around the world. It is presenting itself as a champion of economic equality for the 99%, but should it also support social equality? Should it throw its weight behind issues such as reproductive rights for women, gay rights, immigration reform, or ending the War on Drugs? Or should it reject these issues to focus more on the problem economic inequality and not alienate members who might have socially conservative views? What do you guys think?

OWS and The People should support and DEMAND complete return to the LAW OF THE LAND, The US Constitution and it's Bill Of Rights.

Everyone should be tested and be held accountable to it's contents. If you cannot, you shall not be allowed a voice or position in The People's Government.

Are you saying yes or no? I'm not gonna lie, I can't really tell what you're trying to say

Read and study the Constitution as well as it's Bill of Rights.

Then you will know.

Please note the 13th Amendment shall be returned and that the 16th was never legally ratified.

Absolutely, an affirmative on Civil Rights, although that is the cart before the horse.

Have a great weekend.

The bigger the social agenda, the larger OWS grows. As long as these causes are representative of the American people then by all means gather ye rosebuds.

Actually, all these issues are being addressed. Everyone is welcome in the Movement. We certainly do not want to alienate people with conservative views, as many of them are also victims of the greedy Wall Street scoundrels also. The focus is, as you say, economic equality for the 99%, but people are coming together to discuss all these other issues you mention.

Many people with conservative views do not support the 99% and actually support the big Banks and Wall Street. We do not agree with this view, and feel that we might alienate such people. That we will have to do, and the 99% are important to us.

Is it possible that it might adopt these social views in the future?

I hope so. Hey. We of the Movement are not against people with conservative vews or anyone else for that matter. There will of course be problems, but we just want to make things better than they are now. They say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". The problem is that "it is broke, and we intend to fix it".
