flat income tax for all.no loopholes or deductions. flat corporate rate.no loopholes or deductions or "tax break" abolish IRS after above done. stop sending our money overseas until our country is out of debt, send food instead. you come to this country you better be legal or go to jail.my relatives did so should yours term limits on congress.no more career politicians,no more retirements for congress.let thier time count towards total service in the federal gov.like everyone else.same health plan as us. we have republican party, democratic party, and the tea party faction,it is time for the occupiers"peoples" faction to have a spot in the political spotlight! lets have a four party system. no bail outs of anyone or any business. all bills be bill specific,no add ons from congress.no deals for votes.
A couple of comments. One, yes, it would be great if we could send food to countries that need it, but more importantly, why not send money and educators to help them grow their own food and educate their children so they can have more progressive thinkers as they grow into leadership roles. Also, not to be so picky, but the "Tea Party" identifies itself mostly with the far right wing of the Republican Party, as well as the Libertarians. I don't see why there can't be more than a formal two party system. Of course, there are a couple of Independents in Congress who are usually on the side of progress, not obstuction. I do think it is time that the people of this country truly do protest the health care plan as well as the retirement benefits of our Congress. If they can have the kind of health care they have why the heck can't we? And, they don't seem to understand in Washington that there are people out here, beyond the Beltway who do not have any medical insurance, can't afford Cobra since it is so high and how can an unemployed person pay those rates, and that so many of us have no retirement plan, especially since so many have lost it in the down turn of the stock market.
And they want us to use our money to invest in the stock market instead of putting into a fund for social security. Right!!!! The flat rate tax is a good idea, but, not an added federal sales tax. That will only hurt the poor. And, while it sounds good to us regular folks, a luxury tax won't work either. Cain has called for the federal sales tax on "only new items", not second hand or used. Well, when the luxury tax was in place, it was aimed at mostly the 1% group with their fur coats, expensive cars and hugely expensive boats and yachts. Well, it almost put the boat building industry out of business. There was no tax on a used boat, so a rich person would buy a used yacht instead of a new one and therefore, no new boat were built. There is a way for the rich to get around all taxes, it would seem. And, when they do, it doesn't hurt them or their cronies, it only hurts the middle class and the poor. So, we have to be careful how we go about taxing. Remember, if you own a home, still, you get to deduct your interest. Some, in Congress and running for President don't think we should be able to keep that luxury. So, changing the tax laws, while I agree they need to be changed drastically, needs to be done almost line by line.
A flat income tax for all?! How do you figure that?!
