Wow what a great movement. Let's see as you "get" those c.e.o.s how many mothers are you putting out of work? How many can't pay their rent? How many jobs will you destroy?

Get a job. Quit whining. This has been the most prosperous giving country in the history of man kind. You're just trying to kill the golden goose who gives you all this.

College grads earn more than 20,000 more than the rest of us. So I guess you poor kids having to pay back loans is so unfair. I guess you want the working man to pay for this too. Sad spoiled brats

I am 49 years old and I spent the last two years finishing my bachelor of science degree. I have worked in aerospace, starting in the military, almost my entire adult life, and raised a child. Getting that piece of paper was among the most difficult of my life endeavours. I worked my ass off. And I learned and learned and learned. That effort and knowledge I acquired is worth something, not just to me personally, but to any employer I should work for. We are not trying to kill the "golden goose", the goose is pooping all over us and we want it to stop. (by the way, it is the goose that lays golden eggs, not a golden goose)

Unfortunately for all of us, this is more than just about jobs.

you are an idiot. Why don't you go occupy your office before the boss finds you online and wasting his time.

Go watch some more bill o'reily,or hannity, and keep repeating this is only a movie..

You're not interested in mothers out of work or the ability to pay rent. Not at all.

‘Self-reliance’ and the ‘extraordinary contributions’ of individuals are mythology. Economics, trade and profit do not exist, they are euphemism for violence and war.

"Get a job. Quit whining."

Quit your job and start WINNING.

: )

it's not money that makes this country great... It's the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and Bill of Rights.

And the character of the American people who refuse to be ruled by oligarchs and corrupt politicians.

Did you see what the Senate did today? Indefinite detention without trial, judge or jury for American citizens on American soil. Sure they'll come for OWS first. But don't you worry... they'll come for "you" too if you dare to open your mouth and say something "they" don't like. Which, judging from your post, you are more than happy to do (so bravo at least for that my fellow patriot!).

[-] 1 points by SteveNOhio (11) 13 years ago

your liberal democrat senate? wow, maybe we'd have more success and freedom under conservative policies...naaah..those 25 plus years of Reagan were just a nice dream.

[-] 1 points by beamerbikeclub (414) 13 years ago

yep... the shameful Democrats. I have not love for them I can assure you, and please don't praise them by calling them liberals! Neo-liberals maybe... but bought and paid for just like the Republicans.

I don't know what you mean by 25 years of Reagan. He was in office from 1980 to 1988. It was a boom time, at least for the rich kids I was gong to school with. I'm pretty confident that taxes were actually higher under Reagan, and also that he raised them.

I think the boom of the 1980s was mostly due to Madonna, Prince, the Sony Walkman and the Macintosh computer. : )

(25 years of prosperity from Reagan policies)

[-] 1 points by SteveNOhio (11) 13 years ago

you hit one thing on the head. It's the government ruining business and over taxing every one. How can you justify a liberal government who spends more than the average family makes (4 trillion is over 40K per family of 4) So who pays? Those evil rich instead of employing more people. blame the right people.

[-] 1 points by beamerbikeclub (414) 13 years ago

greetings my fellow Ohio-an (Cincinnati, born & bred).

I think you have been swallowing too much propaganda. Government "ruining" business?! why does Goldman Sachs (and the like) keep hiring ex-senator's and congressional reps?? I think "business" has ruined government. We don't have a Democracy anymore... we have "legalized bribery" of our elected representatives. If government is so hostile to business... why do these business keep donating millions to these politicians??

2nd-- in point of fact-- Taxes are at historic lows. (well, I shouldn't say "fact" because this is what I have heard reported (repeatedly) from the sources I trust. but I acknowledge that propaganda can come from the Left too).

3rd-- one thing we agree on (besides that Ohio is the Heart of it All)... I DO NOT "justify" the spending of our Congress over the last 20-30 years. I have been outraged by it! But about 59% of that spending goes to military and military contracts. A lot more of it went to the banks to bail out their "gambling" debts!

I hope I am blaming the right people. I blaming 1) our elected representatives who took the "bribes" then dismantled banking regulations the prevented banks from gambling with our pension funds and home loans. 2) i'm blaming Wall St. insiders & bankers who made bad loans, then sold the loans and then made more money by betting against the bad loans they'd made and sold ("credit default swaps"). And they were able to do this swindling because their lobbyists pushed for the "Securities Modernization Act" that did away with the old rules of banking and legalized this kind of fraud.

3) I'm blaming "us"-- the American people... for being so naive and uninvolved in our democracy and being "distracted" by sex-scandals and reality TV so that all of this occurred right under our noses.

did I hit anything else on the head there?

So I am a brat at age 64? Wake up!

[-] 1 points by SteveNOhio (11) 13 years ago

I know it's hard to believe but every comment I make doesn't apply to all the readers. So you don't think many of these "protestors" are college students? And you'd rather live in Red China and be squelched in the square if you protest? Who has a better system than our free market, spread the wealth with opportunity system?

[-] 1 points by karenpoore (902) 13 years ago

Gee, I forgive your ignorance. Why don't you move out of la la land?

[-] 1 points by SteveNOhio (11) 13 years ago

la la land? was it my imagination but didnt you demonize the tea party who protested, in the millions, peacefully, respectfully, and cleaned up after themselves. vs. filth, law breaking, violence, disrespect, job killing actions and they are treated with kid gloves. pretty funny.

Educate yourself http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/

Was it you that commented on my Rick Perry entry regarding a man who was complaining that he only had 40k left over per year for entertainment and vacations and you commented that I was jealous of other people's success. NOT! You just do not get it.

[-] -1 points by SteveNOhio (11) 13 years ago

Oh yes it will be the working man who pays for any demands you require. The 1% will just go elsewhere when it's not worth it to employ Americans. You know, over taxation (2nd highest rate in the world), over regulations. LIke Boeing cant' build a new job creating plant down south, oil companies can drill and give thousands to millions new jobs...etc etc..Oh help me , I'm rambling again. just the facts maam.

[-] 1 points by hamalmang (722) from Lebanon, PA 13 years ago

Boeing wouldn't exist without large public funded subsidies. Oil companies are not going to employ millions more people.

[-] 1 points by SteveNOhio (11) 13 years ago

they'll give us affordable energy and employ alot more than fake propped up wind and corn energy. talk about wasted dollars.

[-] 1 points by hamalmang (722) from Lebanon, PA 13 years ago

Until China and other nations master solar energy and put them out of business.

[-] 1 points by nucleus (3291) 13 years ago

The working mans already pays because the 1% don't.

The 1% already have gone elsewhere.

You wouldn't know a "fact" if it had 18 wheels and ran you over repeatedly.

[-] 1 points by SteveNOhio (11) 13 years ago

fact top 1% pays more than bottom 95% google it. But your hate the rich class envy is working so well for us. Thanks

[-] 1 points by nucleus (3291) 13 years ago

Got a fact? Post a link. Otherwise you are just talking out of your ass. But we already know that.

[-] 1 points by SteveNOhio (11) 13 years ago

can't google it sad little hater? It's called research. Not just listening to one lame idea.

[-] 1 points by nucleus (3291) 13 years ago

If you can't post a link - even one to Rush Limbaugh - that backs up your bullshit, you have nothing to stand on but your stupidity.

Go ahead, post a link, I DARE YOU.

Envy? Is is more like pity ...

[-] 0 points by karenpoore (902) 13 years ago

I wish the 1% would go away along with their Walmarts, etc. let them eat cake chain stores. I am sick of it. Then maybe we can start over building community and self sustainability!
