I don't know how much you guys are able to watch the news on TV but I've kept up for the last couple weeks and let me just tell you... They are listening! About every 15 minutes or so they either mention/talk/debate about OWS and how important or unimportant it is. Either way, you guys are getting the message across and everyone across America knows whats going on.
They say you need a demand, a, what sounds better and more historical than "Separation of Corporation and State"? Sounds like something straight out of the constitution! (or should be). Not to mention it pretty much sums up everything you're fighting for.
Keep it up, stay strong, don't leave, and never resort to violence! Your message is worldwide and it keeps growing, don't give up!
It's not just corporations, large individual and special interest donors too.
Separation of Money and State.
Copycat :) Yes, Separation of Money and State. I've been touting that one for a while. Covers everything we stand for, I think.
So thats where I heard it! lol
Yes its a good slogan that sums up the Occupy movement. We need a Government that is: By, Of and For the people, and not a Govt. By, Of and For the corporations (read the wealthy 1% and Forbes 400 billionaires)
It's sad that politicians have to get in bed with corporations to attain power, and that's the way it is, should be limited or banned completely. Poor Obama is now having to 'put out' for the fancy dinner and this is the issue. No candidate since Teddy R. has been exempt from this practice, but if it were out-lawed, politicians could NOT be bought.
I like it. Clear, broad yet concise at the same time. Similar to 99% in its ability to garner the broadest support around a basic point.
I like it.. But you need to oust the powers that be in Washington to do that. All of them. Get new blood who do not believe in bribes.
