Rand Paul told Judge Andrew Napolitano that Americans are stripped of their rights and sent to Guantanamo Bay under the ‘indefinite detention’ provision of the National Defense Authorization act. "How anyone could vote to send an American citizen who’s been accused of a crime to a detention center in a foreign land without due process."

Judge Napolitano also makes the point that this is merely codifying into law what President Bush violated the Constitution to do anyway, “In which terrorism suspects — U.S. citizens and noncitizens alike — may be investigated, jailed, interrogated, tried and punished without legal protections guaranteed by the ordinary system,” as the Washington Post reported in December 2002.

I've been to that place...it is nice! They used to have a golf course and a McDonalds and I could by cigarettes for four dollars a carton! There were a bunch of Jamaicans working there too last time I was there.

I guess no one cares if we lost our 4th, 5th, and 6th amendment rights.

we can't defend our sovereignty with guns anymore

"Richard Gatling created his gun during the American Civil War, he foolishly hoped that his invention would end war by making it unthinkable to use due to the horrific carnage possible by his weapons. At the least, he reasoned, the Gatling Gun's power would reduce the number of soldiers required to remain on the battlefield. "

Well he was partly right. Modern technology allows our soldiers to completely demolish a countries like Iraq and Afghanistan and Libya, with only thousands of men instead of millions. It reduces the number of soldiers needed.

Unfortunately those ~20,000 men now hold the power to kill millions of civilians with mass-firing weapons like Gatling machine guns, air-dropped bombs, and anti-personnel mines/grenades.

but the carnage is still the same

sorry I get the amendment order confused . didn't mean to steal your post

4th

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

That's okay.

At least SOMEBODY read this post. The rest of the people apparently "don't give a shit" to quote the Maroon5 song. They don't care if the government has power to imprison Americans without a trial.

The best way to win is to convince the enemy to never fight.

Sorry the us military versus the citizenry the military would not stand any chance. For one obviously thing all the work that currently supports the military infrastructure would cease.
