Forum Post: Selling Us Bad Deals

I remember it, like it was just yesterday, the new home we were looking at was beautiful, and the real-estate sales agent said we could pay only the loan interest. The price was over our heads, but low interest only made the payment smaller, and the big balloon payment was due a whole five years down the road. By then we could sell the house for a tidy profit, he said. Because home values always go up, we’d make good money. I felt it was a scam then, as I do now. And my wife and I turned our back on the whole deal, We felt that the deal was dangerous. Sure enough years have gone by since that day of house-hunting and thousands of Americans find themselves unable to pay, many have lost homes.
At the same time, that same year, there was the President on the television, sometimes three, four times a day, but he sounded like the real estate salesman, selling us that somehow Iraq was involved in the tragedy of 9/11/01, and that he was positive there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq that posed a clear and present danger to our national security. It would be a short, new war, and soon we’d be profiting from safety and security and the high cost would be shared by allied countries. Sure the amount would be over our heads, but we could afford it, and the big balloon payment would be paid years down the road. Again, I had the sinking feeling that the deal was dangerous The facts were cooked to reveal just the ones that made this look like a good deal. And just when you think this whole mess will make you scream you see a common theme. Where did this sales pitch come from? Well, America, you voted him into office, twice, well at least half of you. Now, the very same political party that promoted a president who sold us a deregulated banking system, and a war we really couldn’t afford wants you to vote for their new, 2012 candidate, once they choose one. Well, without naming names, I don’t know about you, but I will probably never buy a house from that real estate firm that hired that real estate agent who tried to deceive my family. Oh, and by the way I will probably never again vote for that political party who hired that war estate salesman, either.

Who will you vote for now? How dumb are you? You're the victim of bank fraud and you are protecting the bank. The bank got the fee for the mortgage. Its the fee - stupid. You are still a stupid sucker. File a criminal complaint. Call the cops.

Well, the character in the story did not sign the sub prime loan and turned his back on the questionable offer. I think he would also call a cop without bllinking, but that is not what always happens in the real world.

In the real dumb world of American hypocrites no one but me knows the entire mortgage / bank wipeout is a massive crime of fraud, covered up under the claim that its too complicated for anybody to understand.

I am producing a youtube explanation that will focus on the Paterno case to expose how the law works in America.

Do you lend money to people you know for a fact can't pay it back? How fucking stupid are you?

I wrote this to a different American moron.

They pay bribes to be kept out of prison. Americans are a giant country of idiots. You bank where they gamble with your money and sell bad loans. That's a fraud you fucking moron.

Did they really write a law to protect child molesters in PA? http://overthecoals.blogspot.com/

Writing any law to protect child molesters can't be a law.

Defined as the principles and regulations established in a community by some authority and applicable to its people, whether in the form of legislation or of custom and policies recognized and enforced by judicial decision.

The media propaganda tell all Americans that Paterno didn't violate the law that says report child molesters to your boss and not to law enforcement so the molester cah keep molesting. Can Americans be this stupid to not plainly understand that privileged Paterno is being protected from being charged for his crime that allowed Sandusky to keep molesting children. That is sick, it is sickening, and it proves the entire country is in a deep trance.

Well they come home from work at the end of the day, and watch talk shows with people who swear they are looking out for them, and then side-track them on some stupid minutia and protect them right out of their jobs. They live amidst a trend in 2001 that sees house values rise and rise, and bankers wave a sweet shortcut in thier faces. The average working person at the time depended on the experts to guide them, it had worked up until 2007, then the downturn hit. Bait and switch. Paterno? He will have his own conscience to live with, and it will take its natural toll.

You're better off ignoring stevemiller. He just keeps cutting and pasting that Paterno shit in every thread he can. He put it in a response of mine earlier this afternoon that had absolutely nothing to do with his rant. He has his own agenda here, to insult all us 'stupid' Americans and to push his 'overthecoals' blog. Nothing more. He insulted me last week for AGREEING with him, proving he didn't even bother to fully read my reply to his comment.

Yes, trolls live under bridges, and oh yes, in their own minds, too.

You don't know Paterno has any conscience. He'd have conscience if he was in a jail cell waiting trial for permitting the molesting of all the kids from 2002 on.

Elect me to congress and watch how I change things. Too bad OWS is wasting this opportunity. OWS is another screwball deal waiting for utopia while they sit in the park.

Steve you have admitted that you are a convicted felon who spent 9 years in prison for extortion. Why are you looking for your next prey here?
