The LAPD didn't come out in riot gear; all they did was try to clear traffic. It just shows you, how unnecessary these forceful actions were in other cities.
You had to watch the LA livestreams to appreciate the restraint the LAPD cops showed. Occupy members were 2 inches from their noses, screaming at them so hard their spit was flying, making aggressive gestures. LAPD ignored them and stood like a rock of honor among Occupy's very visible hate.
Probably because, based on all the other evictions, its been occupy all along that has..like this..tried hard to antagonize the police, and the police have learned that forcible response is what occupy wants and will use against them. They are learning not to play into Occupy hands.
go watch the uncut videos of the feeds. the ones that show the occupy hate shouted into the officers faces from 2 inches away. it will make you shudder and grateful that there are protectors in this country who can stand up to that and not falter.
where do i find those?
Was this "eviction" more peaceful because of the police or was it because of the occupiers. Could it be that the occupiers did as they were asked to do, and therefore no force was required?
I just saw video on RT.com from last night.
The L.A. police were still non-violent but they did arrest several of the protesters.
Good point.
I don't know.
Lets compare that to NYC...

Yeah that violence by the NYC mayor was not necessary.
