Forum Post: Root of problem is amoral people in power.

The system is screwed up, but it's not the organization of the system that causes problem it's the amoral people who are in it. Of course a smaller government would make it easier to filter out the amoral people =) Any thoughts on the root of the problem? Do you think it's too ideal to have moral agents in government, for I am sure if we did there wouldn't bee much issue between the people and the system.
The key philosophical and practical issue is that our whole monetary system has a severe debt bias. For example, you can 'deduct' the interest from a mortgage and yet, you have to pay taxes on any interest earned. If we disincentivize, if that's a word, the debt bias then we're home free!
