The real opportunity here is to construct an argument based in reality rather than on theory and opinion. A issues based argument rather than an ideology based argument. For example, what is the best solution for education, agriculture, health, and so on? Next, what is possible to achieve and what is impossible? What are our limitations? I can tell you and prove that money is not one of our limitations.
The first argument and policy that we have to advocate for is the complete and equal funding for every child K-12. No exceptions, no excuses! Write it into the constitution. Politicians always talk about education but do nothing about it. Only by making education the priority and making it a part of the constitution can we take most of the opinion and ideology out of possibly the most important aspect of a modern society. Our children all have the same potential to achieve and contribute to society regardless of who their parents are, rich or poor.
Each issue can be looked at one by one and it does not matter whether a socialist or capitalist solution is the best. The likely scenario is that a combination of solutions makes sense. Let us come up with specific solutions to specific issues. Ones that the 99% of us can agree upon. It is possible
