Although I pound away on the drum of the National General Assembly here day after day, I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that I am a protester too.

This idea is borne out of WilliamNYC's idea

http://occupywallst.org/forum/lets-have-a-big-march-on-wall-street-again-whos-wi/

and revlin's idea

http://occupywallst.org/forum/rockupy-new-years-eve/

and it plays perfectly into my desire to see this NGA turn the tides...

One comment to William was suggesting marches in every city. I disagree (been der done dat) One of the things TPTB fear most is UNITY so make it one march, a symbolic journey, from Wall Street to Philadelphia and divide the distance by the number of days so 'it' arrives in Philadelphia on July 4th. Epic optics. It starts at 12:01 am January 1st 2012, the election year, at Liberty Park, and arrives on Independence Day in Philly, slowly gathering support on the way to The Third Continental Congress aka The National General Assembly.

Ya'll may not be aware that the plan is to sign the document in front of Independence Hall. I can hear that Liberty Bell ringing NOW

Happy ho ho's to all AFTK

Taking the I-95, the distance is...99 miles

Wow. I got goosebumps. How's that march going by the way?

Oh please don't get your panties in a bunch. It was sure to happen with all the roads we have.

And this is why we need a sarcasm font.

[-] 1 points by kingscrossection (1203) 12 years ago

Ok true. My apologies. Do you know why we can't do that?

No problem. Have an excellent weekend.

Here's a better idea.

Get a killer double bass Pro Kit. Learn to play to the level of say....Ian Paice or Cozy Powell or Tommy Lee. Get in a Band with a great Singer/Songwriter and other talented members. Go on the road and play your ass off and enjoy the rest of your life making music and money.

I am the Event Coordinator for the "First Annual Rockupy the Food Bank" benefit concert for Huntsville in May of 2012. I could use some advice on planning and logistics for our event. Also I was hoping to get all occupations to recognize this same day to hold their own "Rockupy" benefit concert in solidarity. It could be called "Rockupy Your Charity Day" or something. Please let me know your thoughts.

Interesting idea, but you plan on taking six months to go 99 miles?

[-] 1 points by AFarewellToKings (1486) 13 years ago

Snails pace? It's only six months away! At least they can't be accused of camping. Besides there is going to be a lot of stopping to talk along the way. 99 is cool you must admit

Good points! And 99 miles, how ironic. Synchronicity. I'm behind the idea 100%. I plan on making it to Philly for the 4th. Seems like a perfect reason for a road trip.

I for-see marches and parades of people and cars coming from all directions into Philly the days prior to July 4th. Each district should have their own march into Philly. It might be easier to organize.
