We are living in the 21st century, but it is still 18th century rules. We should have internet voting. We should be able to vote on EVERY bill that is put through. There should be people that would put the bills in normal language that all could understand. There should be criminal misconduct charges for any one who provides misinformation about the bills. It should be our right/obligation to vote vote at least once a month if not once a week. The total votes of the voters in a representative area should totaled to see if a represetative voted differently than the voters voted. We voters should have the right to remove our representative if they are not meeting our needs, not having to wait 2 or 4 or 6 years . With paper ballots it is a big expense just to get a school levy on a ballot. I would only take a few dollars to put it or any bill, on the internet once internet voting was established. I believe if the internet was available in 1776 it would have been used for voting then.. In 2008, 2 weekends before the election, 60 minutes did a piece on credit default swaps. Credit default swaps were outlawed in 1907 by congress cause they had caused a depression back then. 60 minutes also said that in late 2000 a bill was put in to make them legal again. It was worded so that no state could do anything about it, 60 minutes said that it passed unanomusly in the house and in the senate. The following week I expected a follow up. Biden and McCane, one on each side, were part of congress then. There was nothing more said by 60 minutes. It all got dropped. I want answers to the following. How was this bill introduced and by whom. I can't imagine somone in Congress coming up with it except from Corprorate/Wall street request. Why did 60 minutes fail to follow up on it the next week. I don't have the resources to search for the bill they were talking about let alone who submitted it and bigger yet what companies were behind it. It makes no sense that any one in congress would have come up with it on there own. It also makes no sense why it was passed unanamously by those who voted.
