The Consitution was written by all white wealthy slave owners to protect their interest. The present situation, under this Constitution enabled to create this reality. First Lie: "All men were created equal" Really? The People of the US need to follow the example of the French revolution. Here are some ideas to make it unconstitutional: (please add your own):
- Be a multimillioner
- Get a CEO Bonuses
- Monopolize the Media
- Lobby Congress
- Contribute money to polititians campaigns (If eligible give them adequate public money)
- Fillibuster
- Set time limit for Congress & Senate
- Be poor ( set minimum income to individuals based on GDP)
- Be Rich (Set Max income to individuals based on GDP)
- Stop congressmen and Senators' income if they don't reach a compromise within 10 days.
- Make war, unless authorized through a national referendum. This will be the law of the land, revise it to say instead of to "create a more perfect Union" to create "a more perfect Society with equal standard of living for all"
If we follow the example of the French revolution, who will wind up being our Napoleon?
Bloomberg maybe? Robert Reich?
Will any short dude do?
LMAO!
Can we then simultaniously declare war on (errr I mean "spread the revoltunionary fevor to") Canada, Mexico, Russia, China and all of Europe?
Plz!!!!!!
Sure ... Why not. Spread it everywhere.
Down at Zuccotti Park they are spreading everything everywhere. Especially urine and feces.
We can call it "The Diarrhea Revolution".
Only a short dude will do...
You mean ... guillotine each other like it was going out of fashion and then devolve into a military dictatorship?
You mean evolve into a country that is not afraid of its own government.
Simple 2 part Constitution:
To each according to his need, From each according to his ability.
The Government shall have the power necessary to tax, regulate and punish in order to ensure part 1 is achieved.
Please take a look at my post "occupying structuralism," I believe it adds some (much needed?) substance to this thread's dialogue.
Can Dominique Straus Kahn come here and be our Napoleon?
He is short ... and like some OWS protesters, also likes to sexually assault women.
So take a stab at it, Raystar. Instead of saying somebody oughta do this, do it. let's see a draft.
I studied the French Revolution. Therefore; we need to give people cake. That is the only solution.
All men are created equal is an essential evolutionary truth. The Constitution wasn't ratified by a handful of plantation owners but by a populace, and it is precisely this declaration, in light of a desire for a perfect righteousness, that served as the impetus which gave rise to the voice that created division... millions of people died in an effort to secure this moral revolution, and in light of our ten thousand year history of slavery, and the ensuing ability to temper political discourse worldwide, I find your statements highly offensive.
The abolitionist movement was actually born in the cultural mindset, in MA Bay, as early as 1640... it took over 200 years, and a variety of religious, political, and economic factors, for it to gain this strength of force... even so, it did not occur in England or France, or in Mozambique, or Peru - it occurred right here in America, for a reason.
So here's to France and her "revolution"; and now "off with your head!"
Very well said!
