look around, all of the bad press and negative light shining on the movement stems from the camps and the problems they raise. if everyone cleared out nightly and re-assembled the following day people will be more apt to join you, hear you, and embrace you and your movement. there is a better, more civil way to make significant change in the world, and this is not it..
NO, you rethink it.
i have spent a lot of time thinking about it. obviously not as much as some but the thing that stands out to me in the news and the press is the ugliness that is surrounding the camps. we need to do this better, we need to cast a better light on the movement and stop showing the world what atrocities we're putting ourselves through.
You are dealing with media conglomerates. It doesn't matter what is done, there will be negative press. They are scared. That's all.
yeah but it's your would-be supporters that are sitting at home getting pissed about the situation and wanting to do something about it that see people getting raped and beaten, both by police and fellow protestors, and have second thoughts about actual action. we need to find a less "face in the mud of capitalism's defecation" way about this
It has far more support than people realize.
i agree! but we need more, we need to have the whole freaking country swell in uproar at the injustices committed on the daily
It will come.
that's not good enough, we need to re-evaluate our course of action so as to draw more ACTIVE support.
Why did you not speak out on the other 100 threads of this nature? Or are we just flooding the boards with this?
flooding, or "occupying" as the case may be, the boards until we start representing ourselves as civil individuals.
Can we hurry up and get to the part where you support the Tea Party or Ron Paul?
yes but pigs will be pigs
let em! fuck em! they can't stop people from showing up every morning, but they can forcibly remove your camp. at least if you're mobile and not encamped you can simply return.
