Forum Post: Require Public Candidates to use Public Money

I believe that one solution to get corporate money out of the political process is to propose an amendment to the constitution (because SCOTUS seems very corporate friendly and a law would probably get overturned) that requires all candidates running for public office to use public funding in their campaigns. We already have the Presidential Campaign Fund which people can donate to when they fill out their taxes. Why can't we extend this to all public candidates and require them to use it?
