A step in the right direction. It needs work but we should all let our reps know we want this passed. Thank-you Occupy, we're winning!
Step in the right direction.
Boycott Wal-Mart
doesn't go far enough. it only bans money from "for profit" organizations. If we leave ANY possibility for anything but highly restricted public money for public elections corporations will just funnel their influences through "charitable" or "non-profit" organizations...
but hey, it's something... a change in the conversation at least.
I agree it needs to go further but we know our whores in office aren't gonna give up the money all at once lol.
Agreed. It's a START! and I'll give the man serious KUDOS for that.
Now we need to let our reps know we want it passed. I already e-mailed mine lol.
There's a petition to pass the amendment, to sign here

well i hate to say it but there is no way this will pass. the corporations will never give up their agenda to buy politics. i must say at least some of our repersenatives are listening and trying. i just hope more follow his thoughts and get to business. only change i can beleive in is the change from my paycheck that wont buy as much as it did before
"Thank-you Occupy, we're winning!"??? The House is run by the Fascist Republican Tea Party. Deutch's bill may never see the light of day. Your post may be the last we ever here of it.
We need to sign a petition. Occupiers are marching to Washington as we write here.
All 50 of them, marching.
All 204 miles from NYC to DC. I think that's show incredible dedication.
They will join Occupy DC and spearhead the burgeoning gathering in DC!
