Follow Canada and get the misleading and lies out of our news media. According to Canada's equivalant to the FCC, licensees may not report false or misleading news. For thsi reason, right-wing talk radio and FOX News have not been able to diminish the state of their democracy. It was like this in the United States before Ronald Reagan abolished the Fairness Doctrine in 1987.
I have mixed feelings about the Fairness Doctrine, given my strong passionate support of the 1st amendment. However, when it comes to corporate control & influence of the dissemination of information to the public, in ways that are politically motivated, it makes me wish we did have this policy again. All in all, as the name implies, it is only fair, when you look at it objectively.
Fox has been given the right to lie to the American public by the Federal courts.

Snurglersons, that sounds like a totalitarian idea to me. Is there a volume control and/or a tuner on your car radio? Please feel free to change the station if the righteous truth of Rush is too much for you. The teacher's union is one of if not the biggest supporter of the Democrat party. Based on how younger people act and vote, I'd say there is some serious indoctrination going in education at all levels. Gee, at least with talk radio, we have a choice.
I like to tune in to Rush every now and again, it is good to hear all sides of an argument. Rush lies about what the fairness doctrine was about, just like what net neutrality is about.
Rush has some interesting prospectives but don't think for one second that he, just like every member of the media, is not above bending the truth to fit his will.
I am not talking about his "Illustrating Absurdity By Being Absurd" I get that, I actually like that but he is just another media talking head.
Would apply to both sides of the aisle
