Attention anyone from Washington, Arizona, Ohio, Montana, California, or Michigan. Your senator or representative was on the supercommittee which failed to reach an agreement today. If you missed the deadline at your job, you would be fired. Please contact everyone you know in those states and inform them of their right to recall their senator for not doing their job. Here is a simple guide: http://www.ehow.com/how_2096900_recall-us-senator.html You are all very smart and capable, please do the research within your state to make the appropriate moves. Although it sounds daunting, this can be a very simple and very doable task! Please #OWS, please let Washington DC know that some states still have power over their politicians and they are willing to use it!
If the republicans fail to extend the Bush tax cuts, they will lose favor with their supporters. If the democrats give in to extending the Bush tax cuts, they will lose favor with theirs. There is no win- win situation when it comes to party politics. Especially in this day and age when each side thinks (deep seated belief is more like it) that the other party is responsible for all that ails our country. If it were not so sad, it would be laughable. I am not sure what the solution is for this.
I can tell you, when I was going through my divorce, I had never felt such bitter resentment towards another person in my life. It was very powerful and not in a good way. One day I thought to myself, if this continues I will die this way. Bitter, hate filled, and angry. That was when I realized that the heavy weight I was struggling with, was only there because I was holding it up. Definitely straying into buddha territory here, but yeah. It really was just an illusion. Once I stopped pushing and holding up my position, both sides collapsed.
