You can call it a manual or a plan. What is clear is that serious social transformation requires a carefully considered plan with discipline execution. Through his study, observation, and employment of his ideas in many revolutions Gene Sharp has identified the elements of an effective strategy to oppose and dismantle dictators and systemic corruption. It would be worthwhile to read his work to see if we could learn from his thinking and possibly adapt his ideas that have been effective in many contexts to our present context of tyrannical corporate rule. His work makes clear that chances of succeeding without a good strategy are not high.

Come on- stop listening to ARMCHAIR revolutionaries, pseudo intellectuals who have done nothing themselves, and use American and French history as your guides!!!

Please look at who pays Sharp and you'll know you're dealing with the Neocons at Freedom house in D.C. Simply put- this guy has done nothing himself, and you CAN'T write a "Revolution for Dummies." His musings are used by wealthy hedgefund-backed "think tanks" like Freedom House and The National Endowment Center for Democracy (or some name that sounds as catchy).

Change does not come from a "manual." Are you really thick to believe that it does? Our problems are financial. We don't have a dictatorship. We have to change America's culture of worshiping money. No Harvard elitist, who has never had to work in the private sector, nor pay back student loans, can truly understand what's at stake.

So yes, blindly follow the cheap words of pseudo-intellectuals, but do it at your own peril.
