Greetings, NYC GA and Occupy Wall St. activists:
I’m part of the SUNY Purchase Community General Assembly. We’re in the process of developing a GA structure for SUNY Purchase and members of the surrounding community. Do you have someone prepared to run for Congress from your district? If OWS fails to elect people this will be a waste of time.
I'm in Bridgeport and will run as the Green Party candidate from the CT 4th district.
Thanks for commenting, Steve. We have just begun the process of forming a GA, and we haven't yet reached the point of local political engagement. I'll certainly suggest that topic for our agenda next meeting.
Elany, time is flying. A political campaign must pound away its message to win the election. There is a powerful propaganda wall that has the 99% hooked to believe that if people don't vote for a Republican or Democrat they will throw their vote away.
This is a media propaganda trance that has put the 99% into a zombie state that is self destructive. The trance has nothing to do with intelligence or education. The propaganda is used by left and right media. Propaganda has been studied for decades and it works.
I will be glad to address your group. Don't expect to nominate the PERFECT candidate but try your best now because the OWS has laid a powerful foundation. If we fail to build on that foundation for 2012, we blew it big time.
Hear what potential candidates have to say. Maybe you're the best choice. The right message now can win. People are disgusted.
