Greetings from San Francisco! Thank you for inspiring us! Despite mayoral double-speak and police crackdowns, we're not letting up on the Federal Reserve building.

We have a mayoral election in this city not too long from now, and it's interesting; there are sixteen candidates, and we are holding a run-off election, which means that you get to make a number of ranked choices. It means you can vote how you truly wish to, without worrying about throwing away a vote on someone with less backing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting

Why should it only be us in SF and a few other places? How would it be to push for publicly financed instant run-off elections? It would make it much harder for corporations to manipulate our politics through the duopoly currently in place.

I heartily endorse OWS's resistance to being co-opted by MoveOn or other efforts to enlist it for politicians within the current corrupt framework, and want to make suggestions that actually change the system.
