This is one more positive step to wake Americans from their stupor. All those Starbucks liberals need to wake up and pay attention. Oakland is how you move people and begin the road to meaningful change.

Great job, Oakland!

Don't listen to the smear tactics. It wouldn't surprise me if the violent ones were paid by certain people to make OWS look bad. It wouldn't be the first time they resort to tactics like that.

What are you proud of?

Smashing windows of numerous businesses and spray painting graffiti? The outright lawlessness of what went on at the port?

You are just proving to the country that this movement is nothing but a bunch of punks who want to get violent.

By vandalism of small businesses and public property?

the protests were 99% peaceful.....There was a minor incident, but the people who were involved were clearly a fringe group, who took things into their own hands, in-spite of the advise given by most protesters

Ah,,,, so it was only the 1% that caused all the damage.

But as OWS keeps insisting, it's the 1% control that everything.

Food for thought.

It's not surprising to have some renegade elements in a movement of thousands of people. Whenever you have large groups of people these things can happen, but that should not be excuse for discrediting the whole movement. There are certainly people who pray on incidents like this to tarnish the movement we know that. And we should try not to give these guys the satisfaction, but we also know that when you have more than 60 thousand people marching there is an element of surprise inherent in that.

By smashing windows and spray painting buildings? No thanks. I gave up being a masked vandal for Lent.
