What if everyone locked arms in a row laying face down( to make it harder to mace /tear gas you). You have a first row and then a second row that lays with their heads between two people above you( about at their calf so your arms lock around their ankles). So the person in the second row has their shoulder/arm on one leg of each person. This second second row interlocks their arms the same way except when they bend arms back around they wrap it under the persons leg. Thus your second row is locked arm and arm and arm and leg with someone completely different. You would end up being locked with 6 different people( 2 arm to arm/ 2 your arm to someone elses leg/ 2 your leg to someone elses arm).
Thus the police have to unlock you from 6 people if you are in the middle with no where to grab and 4 people at the top or bottom unless on the end. Making it a slow process.
Won't stop tear gas being face down. Anyone with locked arms will be fleeing. It is NOT fun and downright scary to be gassed.
Future notice, gas masks from army surplus are super cheap, under $20
Tear gas rises doesnt it or rises and then settles? Kind of like a big smoke bomb. Being close to the ground would delay the effect or lessen it at least i would think.
