This is an excellent idea. Congress is just as guilty if not more than the bankers. If a couple hundred thousand can manage to get there you can bet the politicians will be squirming and it will be very satifying watching them quake in their boots. People should go to DC if they can afford it.
"your majesty! The people are revolting!" "Yes, they certainly are."
They aren't quaking because they watch the media and these forums and see the unfocussed cacophony. The one thing they don't want to see is the 99% flex their political muscle. Going to DC isn't going to help. Go to Philadelphia. Yea they don't need to worry about Philly either because OWS is never going to get their shi*t together...
Read this and spend less time on the list and more time on the underlying theme: https://sites.google.com/site/the99percentdeclaration/
so i ask you again; DC or Philadelphia?
okay, wait a minute, let me think about this. I had an image in my mind. The image of Eric Cantor cancelling a town hall appearance when he found out there would be protesters there which actually did happen. It's true, all the politicians could just run to their home districts to hide. So maybe it would be more useful to fortify the occupy locations in states of the most heinous of our representatives.
Can we get all the republicans in one spot?
We need to steep the teabaggers too.
If the republicans see the hordes of people coming to occupy DC I guarantee they'll be running for the hills, which is just the sort of visual we need to convince their constituents just how incompetent and useless they are. If we can keep a focus on them running away, maybe they will all get voted out in November. Democrats too.
