Ratifying the UN Covenant of Economic, Social & Cultural Rights would ensure that the U.S. government is held accountable to providing basic rights like housing, health care, education, and an adequate standard of living. Jimmy Carter signed this covenant but the Senate never ratified it. Ratification would also align the US with almost every other nation in the world, thus calling for international solidarity.
??? I don't get it. We don't need the government to babysit us. I thought that was one of the issues of the movement. If government provides us with things, we would just be sitting on their land. We need to take it back.
