I'm writing from the SF Bay Area so forgive me if this idea isn't relevant to what's actually going on in the ground there.

Would the participants there consider forming some kind of group to stay accountable to the neighborhood? What if someone went to all the local businesses once a week to check in with them about any "incidents" like broken sinks or rude activists. If there were any incidents then you could ask them what OWS could do to restore a sense of trust or support. OWS could get volunteers to wash their windows or do chores or publicity for them to make amends.

Also, could members of OWS join neighborhood group meetings to address their concerns and maintain good relations?

I thought of this because I've heard some local businesses and residents are concerned about cleanliness and this group might be a way to work out arrangements with them. This way, they wouldn't organize against OWS.

What do you think?

P.S. Thanks for all you're doing for all of us!!!
