Forum Post: Profit Tax

Why not make a profit tax? You know, a tax that only targets profit, so that it won't affect the amount of people being employed? Only the money left over after the payment of the employees is subject. This would force businesses to either take the hit or hire more people to avoid the tax. Hiring more people would then increase demand for workers and therefore the collective bargaining power they have.
