We have to focus, or we WILL be marginalized. We have to be clear and specific. What do we want? And end to Corporate Personhood. Taxation for the rich. From mass public rallies we must turn towards actual political influence. Flex those muscles, for the threat of a social movement can work wonders. Of course threat's can only be justified by precedent, so GET OUT THERE, my friends. Assemble. But also look for ways to reach our politicians. Read up on upcoming bills. What should be passed? What should be voted down? What about the new job bill by Obama? Who knows anything about that?

We should have only a few demands at first. 1 Bring our troops home. 2 Tax the rich. 3 End corporate personhood. 4 Revamp the EPA. These are simple and concrete.

Revamp the Environmental Protection Agency? Now that's demand I haven't heard yet.

"Tax the rich" is vague, especially considering they already pay the vast majority of taxes. What specifically would you like to see changed in our tax code?

You're right; what I mean is that we ought to bring their percentage of income tax on par with our own (if not more). There needs to be debate here, because I'll admit I'm not an economist. As for the EPA, it is a direct victim of Wall Street's power. When a big business pollutes our water and air, the EPA's job is to wag its finger and insist on cleaner methods. However, since this cuts down on overall profits, companies like Exxon, etc. have been able to marginalize the EPA's power by promising donations to politicians who will oppose the EPA. Strengthen the authority of the EPA (since this is OUR world, not just the 1%'s) and businesses will have one less region of influence.

I don't know any more than you do. But that's a good point. We ought to be absolutely transparent; leading by example instead of falling into the easy, traditional traps against which we've been fighting. This has to be an uncorrupted movement.

Where are the totals of our donations?
