Forum Post: President's Speech is More of the Usual- But It's Nice He Mentioned the Movement

I'm curious as to why he didn't mention Fannie and Freddie? And why hasn't Attorney General Holder arresting all these evil mortgage bankers? If you break the law, and swindle people, you need to go to prison. These ghosts don't exist, except in rare cases.

His words are carefully crafted always to sound like a "truth" and be a distraction. Always. He can't do anything he is bought and paid for and always was.

Obama is an amazing actor and a professional at double-talk.

Yes, they found the perfect narcissist for their next puppet. Narcissists are the smoothest talkers you ever saw, the most charming of people and the most lacking in empathy. They project all their faults off on to others and take credit for anything good whether they did it or not. Did Obama give back the Nobel to someone more worthy? A Dr. in the Congo was up that year. A Dr. who has been working to restore broken women and childrens bodies after they were tortured and raped. A man who has risked his life every day for years. What did Obama do? He kept it and probably believed his own hype. Shameless. And that's just one example.

If a politician isn't willing to piss off the public by telling the truth, then assume that they are lying.

Pleasing words and gestures are exactly how every scoundrel works. Obama games the public, the same way a pimp games his hoes.

Remember Obama has a really good speech writer.

NO it's not nice that he mentioned the movement. WE the 99% don't need any current elected politician to align themselves just for votes. If he could not help the 99% in 2008 then he is NEVER going to help. Most of Washington have been bought and paid for by corporations and special interest groups since before the Reagan administration.

So long as Obama thinks he has your vote, why does he need to do anything more. He is in the vote getting business.

Yeah I liked his tweet obituary to Steve jobs mentioning his 2012 campaign. A real touch of class plugging your cause on someone's death. Don't be surprised if he says he started the movement.

I am glad that people here are awake enough to know Obama (or any political actor, really) is NOT on their side, even if he's affiliated with their political faction. Political factions are used to co-opt people, lull them into a sense of belonging and make them ineffectual. Obama's been a master at this--convincing "progressives" to advocate for Reagan's economic agenda and Bush's neoconservatism. Don't believe the bullshit. Don't be co-opted by MoveOn or even the labor movement if they want to claim this is theirs. Don't be a tool of either D or R machine! Thanks.

Well spoken!

Lol. Attorney General Holder arrest evil mortgage bankers?

What makes you think the dude who's lying about GIVING FIREARMS to Mexican drug cartels is going to arrest anyone?

The legal system is corrupt as well, the system of governance is corrupt from the top down..

There are no "folks". It's just me. Argue your point.

Nope, but I do like an open, honest discussion of the facts. Some people just can't engage themselves because they prefer to keep their head in the sand.

"My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks," the president told them.

Obsama's policies work against the common person and he is conscious of and intends for that to be the case, in his own words.

That's a good one!
