7th edit (added #14 - 18, 4 items to review [from official OWS manifesto], extra partisanships & links)

Most popular OWS demand list (took last 2 from here) - http://occupywallst.org/forum/proposed-list-of-demands-please-help-editadd-so-th/

Preface:

The "Occupy" movement must stand behind a coherent & sensible plan of action.

If it doesn't, it risks being wholly ineffectual & wasteful of constituent man-hours.

Irredeemable Partisanships:

Redistribution of wealth & subsidized college & mortgages are too niche/communist to promote true populist/progressive change.

Full national healthcare isn't feasible due to unconsitutional payment/participation mandates.

Ending the Federal Reserve would be too extreme & result in economic depression, as well.

Military budget drawdowns will occur naturally.

It's too controversial to support withdrawals when the US has added to unrest amidst radicals.

Training native Afghanis/Pakistanis/Iraqis to protect their communities is vital foreign policy.

Demand 80% House & Senate /signs a POA 3 days from arriving in D.C., post-press conference:

1.) Full governmental commercialization/legalization of cannabis/hemp > 60% of cartel profits are from cannabis ( http://www.tiny.cc/mcrev ) -- state-sponsored commercialization is required to undermine black markets & cartel revenue (15.2K killed in Mexico 2010, nearly equal to US homicides & 1/3rd our national pop.)

1a. Hempoline (biodiesel), EFA supplement (doesn't develop deficiencies like w/ flax), paper (modernized & high-volume scaled equipment would likely, entirely cover 500% mark-up comparable to wood pulp), recreational/medicinal THC ingestion

2.) Drastically loosen immigration policy focusing on vocational readiness (receiving english instruction, required job app logs). Illegal immigration will continue to occur -- the best strategy is to allow it legally, to ensure accountability & legal conduct.

3.) Revitalize criminal/truancy rehab & reduce jailable crimes > too much gov. rev spent on incarcercation > civilian potential lost due to dropout rate

4.) Address the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 2.2 tril infrastructure advocacy for job creation > include nuclear regulatory committee (NRC) recomposition & frailty correction

5.) Trade school tax incentives & promotion

6.) Special interests: ethanol (erase subsidies, replace crops w/ #1), petroleum (see: #9), lumber (see: #1), digital rights management (require volume/a la carte content options; NO imprisonment [i.e. nullify ACTA/S. 3804])

7.) Disaster prep: global power outage possible in 2013 ( http://www.tinyurl.com/1859proof ), USA unaware that Judeo-Christian philos. states the anti-christ will req. all to receive his mark/name/# (666) to trade (fertile ground = resource shortage); mass-transformer replacement could take years; those who worship the beast not in the book of life (Revelation 13:8 & 17:8); famine will come in 1 day (Revelation 18:8)

7a. Sensible drills & large-scale non-electric water/provision aid systems aren't prepared.

8.) Housing/mortgage policy: Remove excessive foreclosure extensions/bailouts (see: Prince William County, VA market recovery compared to Prince George's County, MD market recovery). Bad investments equate to the typical 50% failure rate struggling mortgages given aid result in.

9.) Fuel cell station/automobile subsidies: Create jobs through industry that distances consumers from economic fragility known in oil dependency. Direct borohydride types, aside from hydrogen, should be pursued if catalyzing systems absent platinum couldn't yet afford mainstream industry.

10.) Foreign aid redistribution: Allot Israeli foreign aid to CharityWater.org, considering 1 bil / 6.9 bil don't have access to clean water & 80% of disease is due to such.

11.) Return tax rates to the Reagan era

11a. "Trickle-down" economics are A PROVEN FRAUD when CEO pay has risen to 343 times median American worker pay (343:1). In the 1980s, this was 42:1. In Europe, this is 25:1. See also: Wall Street bailouts & consequent executive bonuses & raises.

12.) Reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act -- banks merging w/ insurance & investment are proven "too big to fail" conglomerates -- consolidation of power is an obvious negative

13.) Abolish the electoral college

14.) Establish a task force to modernize Native American reservation infrastructure & education

15.) Eliminate ALL private campaign funding & donations (super-PACs & other forms of corruption loopholes). All candidates must conform to public funding regulations & guidelines. Campaign finances must be published online in unedited, documented fashion, within 30 days of intake/expenditure.

16.) End lobbyist influence, including the practice of lobbyist-authored legislation that arrives on the floor of Congress.

17.) Enact "Revolving Door" legislation, illegalizing gov. employees from working for companies they once regulated.

18.) Reduce excessive national defense redundancy (+934 counter-terrorism orgs post 9-11...in 2010)

Reagan-era tax rates, funds from commercializing cannabis/hemp, eventual pay-offs from rehabilitating truants/drop-outs, & consequent fuel cell purchases after the lower 30% income of Americans are given waivers for such will help fund deficit reduction.

A hidden world, growing beyond control (post 9-11 "National Security" growth, 850K top secret cleared) - http://projects.washingtonpost.com/top-secret-america/articles/a-hidden-world-growing-beyond-control/

4 items from the original "Occupy Wall Street" manifesto* that I've not enough expertise on to suggest actionable demands for include...

· profiting from animal cruelty

· generic medicine bloccades

· concealed inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit

· people kept misinformed & fearful through media

Other points, I feel, are too vague to itemize meaningful recourse for.

My frustration is that it seems like elected officials are not doing what the majority of Americans want them to do. I'm really interested in knowing American's opinions of issues. Is there a good polling site that clearly shows the top 10 issues based on poll respondents and the poll results of the top 10 issues (e.g., foreign wars, social security, campaign finance, etc.)? Seems to me we should be using (and making the media) use the results of such a polling site to put pressure on elected representatives by comparing their voting records with the majority of American's preferences. This would highlight when an Elected representative is influenced by something other than the majority of Americans and they should be made to explain why. I think we have the best system in the world but we need ways to make it clear how most American's feel on their most important issues and to hold our elected officials accountable for their actions.

no top polling site for the Occupy movement as far as im aware

should be some by region, considering this is all global & such

though I think itd be wrong to limit demands to 10

government is at a fragile state atm & reform shouldnt be shied from! =o

Many more people will come to your side when you are proactive (for “new” Business & Government solutions), instead of reactive (against “old” Business & Government solutions), which is why what we most immediately need is a comprehensive “new” strategy that implements all our various socioeconomic demands at the same time, regardless of party, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 10% Management System of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves; that is, using a Focused Direct Democracy organized according to our current Occupations & Generations. Consequently, I have posted a 1-page Summary of the Strategically Weighted Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:

Join

because we need 100,000 “support clicks” at AmericansElect.org to support a Presidential Candidate -- such as any given political opportunist you'd like to draft -- in support of the above bank-focused platform.

Most importantly, remember, as cited in the first link above, that as Bank Owner-Voters in your 1 of 48 "new" Business Investment Groups (or "new" Congressional Committees) you become the "new" Congress replacing the "old" Congress according to your current Occupation & Generation, called a Focused Direct Democracy.

Therefore, any Candidate (or Leader) therein, regardless of party, is a straw man, a puppet; it's the STRATEGY – the sequence of steps – that the people organize themselves under, in Military Internet Formation of their Individual Purchasing & Group Investment Power, that's important. In this, sequence is key.

Why? Because there are Natural Social Laws – in mathematical sequence – that are just like Natural Physical Laws, such as the Law of Gravity. You must follow those Natural Social Laws or the result will be Injustice, War, etc.

The FIRST step in Natural Social Law is to CONTROL the Banks as Bank Owner-Voters. If you do not, you will inevitably be UNJUSTLY EXPLOITED by the Top 10% Management Group of Business & Government who have a Legitimate Profit Motive, just like you, to do so.

Consequently, you have no choice but to become Candidates (or Leaders) yourselves as Bank Owner-Voters according to your current Occupation & Generation.

So please JOIN the 2nd link so we can make our support clicks at AmericansElect.org when called for, at exactly the right time, by an e-mail from that group, in support of the above the bank-focused platform in the 1st link. If so, then you will see and feel how your goals can be accomplished within the above strategy as a “new” Candidate (or Leader) of your Occupation & Generation.

atki4564, your concept isn't fully fleshed out in the preliminary departments.

what would happen to money as these supposed regional banks amassed the 20,000 donor minimum to reach the 10 million minimum to form a bank in any state?

how can currently operating corporations abandon their loans & establish new loans with these "bottom 90%" civilian-backed banks?

[-] 1 points by atki4564 (1259) from Lake Placid, FL 13 years ago

Th"new" Home Town Banks of 65,000 buy the loans of the "old" Banks at Fair Market Value, for disruption to existing Business Loans cannot be allowed to occur. So I hope you'll join the group in the 2nd link cited so that we can further empower ourselves, for there are always long-term alternatives to short-term problems, if we know where to find each other, right?

[-] 1 points by DVSSk8Er79 (12) 13 years ago

I'm too poor to afford a $500 USD contribution & I don't trust mob mentality to appoint sound directors.

And eventually you're going to come to the point where current banks don't want to sell the loans cause they'd realize we were trying to take all of their business...

[-] 1 points by atki4564 (1259) from Lake Placid, FL 13 years ago

The banks wouldn't have a choice for lack of depositors (going broke).

I only said that people needed to chip-in $500 apiece because I didn't want them to get into the habit of thinking that they could have something for nothing, and thus get that $500 – for free – elsewhere. How? By making Group Store Selections, and related Group Product Selections; meaning, they can get 25% Cash Rebates on the Products (or Services) they ALREADY buy directly from their existing Stores. All they have to do is make 1 Grocery Store Selection, and related 48 Group Product Selections, just as they do now. For example, I'm sure you're already familiar with the concept of a “coupon”, and that almost invariably you see the phrase – “25% Off” – upon almost every such coupon. But now, being a sophisticated investor, you have a purchasing AND investment choice: You can either have this 25% off in a lower price OR (if smart) as cash invested into your “new” Individual Investment Account of your “new” Home Town Bank of 65,000 – for free. Since it's highly unlikely, in the past, you used 48 Coupons in your weekly trip to the Grocery Store, then this $500 is free, but does require that you print 48 coupons from your computer using your free Home Town SITE of 65,000, such as http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/. Said another way, this $500 is free because it's money that were already spending anyways, but without using coupons in the past. For example, let's reasonably assume that the average person spends $100 per week at their Grocery Store (Wal-Mart vs Winn-Dixie vs Whole Foods vs whatever) except now you choose 1 Grocery Store using your free Home Town SITE of 65,000. In return, the Grocery Store gives their Store Card (which most already have) to electronically record your 48 purchases, and related 48 coupons, and thus receive back, in cash, for free, $25, from Product (or Services) you ALREADY buy, but without a coupon in the past. Consequently, you will accumulate $542 – for free – over 5 months (or $100 Grocery Purchase Per Week 4.34 Average Weeks Per Month 25% Cash Back * 5 Months = $542 – for free). How? Merely by using your Purchasing Choice to direct your Investment Voice – online – as Individual Purchasing & Investment Power Group, instead as weak individuals (called “suckers” by the 1%). However, you can ONLY have this free 25% cash back after having formed a Home Town SITE of 65,000 – which members can be NATIONAL because Grocery Stores are national – whereby you make your 1 Group Store Selection, and related 48 Group Product Selections (which you already buy) from Product Vendors who provide you with Online Coupons – for free. So don't worry, you don't need $500, just your choice and voice.

You're still not saying what happens to money prior to reaching the 20K civilian minimum of $500 USD donated each...to become a bank.

And you're also assuming that grocery stores will be at this civilian bank's beck & call.

[-] 1 points by atki4564 (1259) from Lake Placid, FL 13 years ago

What "happens to money"? Do you mean existing Business Loans? I've answered that.

As for the Grocery Stores, if we have to screw with their Operating Cash Flows by temporarily denying them Customers as Home Town Banks of 65,000, locally, to get them to negotiate their plight, so be it.

Besides, with 65,000 Limited Creditor Customers, and their related $320M in "new" Business Loans available in their 1st Quarter of Operation, they can immediately build their own Grocery Store if no Grocery Stores bite on the much steadier profits offered to them by this Strategically Weighted Policy, so they'll bite or be forced into bankruptcy. After all, most people, if pissed off enough, can come up with $500, right?

[-] 1 points by DVSSk8Er79 (12) 13 years ago

You haven't explained why you rely on this 65K figure aside from assuming that 4.6K regional civ-banks will be made to equate to the "300 mil" US population.

You haven't explained what happens to money ON THE WAY to reaching the 20K civilian minimum of $500 donated each...to become a bank.

You're assuming that these civ-banks will be able to fund their grocery stores, or would decide to fund them first, cause you can't just overtake already existing corporations that have had their grocery stores paid off & managed how they see fit.

Who's supposed to be in charge of the regional banks in their infancy, before they reach bank status?
