I saw that cities are trying to pull the power and energy from sites in order to kill it. It is getting colder out we should probably look to toronto occupy. In the mean time its best if people check out Zen and the art of the alcohol stove. One can use 70% iso alcohol in order to heat/cook. If the stove is set inside say a tuna can or something else its not considered an open flame. Its the same logic of why you can buy an outdoor fire pit in all cities with burn laws. Most cities have open burning laws but housed its ok. I've used an alcohol stove for years while camping/hiking. I also tried using medical alcohol wipes. A single alcohol pad will provide enough juice for 5-6 minutes. Enough to make tea or some cowboy coffee. I experimented with the alcohol wipes in case cities tried to take away the pharmacy bottles from people, just claim its for your first aid kit . Another idea people should look at is old charcoal hand warmers. I still use them and you don't have to worry about throwing out one time hand warmers. I would recommend a mylar emergency blanket or rubber water bottle for people. A long time ago people would heat the water drop it in the bottle and stick it in their bed to radiate heat. As for the mylar, a wrap and you'll warm up in no time. There are other alternative options like stove construction and winter wall tents. I just wanted to help out.
