We can help return jobs to America if we promote buy MADE IN AMERICA. The CEO's that are using foreign labor for greed should see the power of this in action. Sales drop because their products aren't made here.

Actually we are at a turning point now, with the ren min bi (RMB),-- the Chinese currency appreciating 6% since last summer (2010), and 30% since 2005, some corporations (e.g. United Technologies) are bringing home ("re-shoring") their production to the US. So, with inflation in China, their labor is and will become less attractive. The US Farmer has been the true "behind the scenes" hero in all this,-- exports of hogs and corn to PRC are at record highs. Malthusians take note.

Why should I buy 'American' if I can get a cheaper and better product from overseas?

Why would a company want to set up business in a country that has unions who strangle them into submission in terms of paying unqualified individuals more money than they deserve?

Because you want to rebuild america the country you live in and where you are working or not working! Cheaper and better is not always the case about overseas products. Sometimes it is but we have grown to believe that what you say is true.

I, the consumer... want goods that are priced low and that are of good quality. If I cannot find that in the United States, too bad.

I will not shoot myself in the foot, government involvement in the free market has resulted in the outsourcing in jobs.

I don't buy your argument. If you don't support America then why would it support you.

I don't promote or support any form of ideology that contrasts with free market principles and true Capitalism. That is not un-American. Our great economy follows these same principles.

You are a waste of my time and energy. I can see you are not open to any real solutions.

What you offer as a solution to the problem... will not work. I suggest you question the high taxes corporations face within our country... remove those, combined with disbanding unions.. and you might find that American companies will once again spring up within our borders.

You are brain washed by the Repub's on this. Why would you think what you say would work? In fact, the incompetant CEO's that just follow the leader are another issue that my solution would resolve.

i am not brainwashed... you are misinformed, or at the least, don't understand the issue. I know my ideas would work, because if you remove the items that compel companies to outsource... they have no reason to be overseas. Why would I decide to live in a third world country, if I could have my business in my backyard.

CEO's are picked by their respective company. You have no say, or should not have a say in who runs a corporation. The government should not have a say either. The only thing your solution will provide? -Nothing, firstly... a rational person will not willing pursue good at a higher price along with lower quality. Inefficiency is what the market intends to avoid... buy American, if its not the best option, breeds inefficiency
