Not leader, for this is lead by the people. And not sole spokesperson. William Black actually understands finical crisis, and successfully prosecuted a number of people during the S and L crisis, and currently is an advocate for many of the ideas that I have seen in the OWS movement. Also not a politician.

i think people just need to step up and become spokespeople. no official vote can ever be taken. if they earn popular support within the movement, then they are unofficial spokespeople. good luck in your campaigning for william black, i'll check him out.

I really like the way The Real News Network (TRNN) does interviews. I like This set of 5 interviews with Bill Black because he is really straight forward: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV5Q_tCUPj0

i'm an adamant supporter of dylan ratigan's Get Money Out petition. if you oppose the influence of lobbyist/campaign donations on our elected representatives' votes, please sign the petition at www.getmoneyout.com and pass it on! the petition has a proposal for a Constitutional amendment to separate money interests from our representatives.

We need leaders.plural!! We certainly need somebody who understands how the economic system works. We also need somebody who can organize without hierarchy as I saw in another post. A sociologist would be helpful too, and so would a single mother. A broad spectrum of the population is the way to go. I have been in activist for many years, and have found that to mirror the same political structure we have now is not the best way!! Coalition building and consensus is much more inclusive and people feel listened to.

I really would like to understand how can a leader be elected in this movement, or how can someone speak for it. I am amased at how Occupy works. Would like to have your input on the movement to understand it better. TCould you answer 10 questions, please. Happy to share results it may help in these kinds of decisions. Please, take some time for it: Thank you! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Q3NF7QB
