Forum Post: Possible solution (N I C E)!!

Here is a suggestion that I sent to Mr. Obama and my Senators. I am not sure they ever really read it. Tell me what you think.

Create a grassroots program called National Initiative to Create Employee (N I C E).

Ask businesses that employ greater than 100 people to voluntarily over-hire by 1 percent. These businesses can then advertise that they are NICE businesses. Then we encourage consumers (both public and private) to purchase from NICE suppliers. The more consumers purchase materials and services from NICE businesses, the easier it is for NICE businesses to pay for the extra employees. Everybody wins!!! The new employees can be put into a developmental role ( sort of like an Intern). These new employees can then make up for attrition. The immediate needs of businesses can be met without always relying on temporary employees. Employee ownership and loyalty is much more likely. More workers means more more Taxpayers and more contributors to Social Security. More employed people means more people who can contribute to their 401K's and retirements. More employed people means more people that can provide for themselves and their families. This would lead to less dependence on social services. Once again, everybody wins!! The most important benefit; The true power is in the hands of the consumer. This is no government takeover. The cost to implement is virtually ZERO to Taxpayers. All this program really needs is a voice and people behind it.
